is a doctoral candidate at Vanderbilt University, where he studied with Melvyn P. Leffler. He presently holds fellowships from the Eisenhower World Affairs Institute and the US Air Force. Mr. Hahn is completing his dissertation on US policy toward Egypt between 1945 and 1956.
