A 66-year-old white woman with oculodermal melanocytosis developed a malignant melanoma of the choroid in the right eye. The association of uveal melanoma with ocular and oculodermal melanocytosis is discussed. A differential diagnosis of ocular and oculodermal melanocytosis with emphasis on primary acquired melanosis is presented. Accurate diagnosis of ocular and oculodermal melanocytosis is important as these conditions have been reported to develop malignant melanoma of the skin, uveal tract, orbit, meninges, and brain.
