The authors comment on JC Lucke and WD Hall's article" Under what conditions is it ethical to offer incentives to encourage drug-using women to use long-acting forms of contraception?". The authors note the use of incentives to promote long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) which is consistent with literature on incentives' efficacy to promote healthy behaviors in drug abusers. They disagree with Project Prevention's practices, but recognize their efforts to address the issue.
