CYLINDROCLADIELLA, a new hyphomycete genus, is proposed for the small-spored species of Cylindrocladium. The small-spored species differ not only in the shape and smaller size of the conidia but especially in the type of branching of their conidiophores and the position and structure of the appendage with vesicle. Further differences occur in the cultural characteristics, chlamydospores, microsclerotia and the teleomorphs. A new species C. infestans, is described. [The new combinations are C. parva, C. camelliae, C. paruviana and C. novae -zelandiae. The basionyms are all Cylindrocladium spp.].
