Ken completed his degree in cartography at Oxford Polytechnic in 1991 and for 20 years worked in academia: teaching, researching and developing courses in cartography and GIS. He achieved pedagogic success during this time, was widely published and became advisor on numerous national initiatives. He has a strong academic background and continues to work, globally, with educational institutions to support cartographic teaching and research.
