In this paper, we use a strong domain wall pinning model to explain the effect of non-magnetic impurities on the median blocking temperature of exchange biased systems. Although the introduction of non-magnetic impurities can lead to an increase in the measured value of the loop shift at moderate temperatures, the blocking temperature of such systems is always reported to decrease when compared to that of non-diluted systems. We find that it is also possible to observe an enhancement of the median blocking temperature for diluted systems depending on the microstructure of the antiferromagnetic layer.
