Patterns of variation are described in 9 enzyme systems ofPinus merkusii, investigated in extracts from (germinated) seeds from cones of 100 trees from Sempolan-Jember, East Java, Indonesia. The mode of inheritance at polymorphic allozyme loci is demonstrated. Included are tests for the inheritance of 5 polymorphic loci from each of 12 heterozygous mother trees, using segregation ratios.
