Poppi's study may well encourage others to undertake. Regardless of the fact that the author did not write quite the book which I might have wanted him to write there is no denying that he has put the study of Zabarella's thought on a firm basis. It is to be hoped that this book will get the attention it deserves from those interested in the history of science and scientific method. With books like this easily available there is no longer much excuse for the continuance of the now well-established tradition of writing utter rubbish about the Aristotelian scientific method during the Renaissance.
