The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will collide protons with a centerof-mass energy of 13 TeV starting in 2015, and the idea is to detect and measure intact protons after collisions in the ATLAS and CMS-TOTEM experiments. For this sake, special detectors will be hosted in Roman pots and will be installed close to the beam at about 210–220 m from the interaction point.
