To achieve simple and efficient synthesis of CeAlO3, novel high-temperature carbon-bed method was developed to synthesize CeAlO3. Results demonstrate that reaction temperature is more important factor than reaction time in synthesis process and affects reaction rate and products. With increasing reaction temperature and time, CeAlO3crystals grow. However, the purity of CeAlO3is affected if reaction temperature is too high or reaction time is too long. The best CeAlO3product in this study was obtained when reaction temperature was 1400 °C and reaction time was 4 h.
