Characteristics of a 10-core fiber with two-pitch layout were investigated. A core pitch was optimized by simulation. The fabricated fiber realized A<sub>eff</sub> larger than 115 μm<sup>2</sup> and low-crosstalk characteristics with about 200-μm cladding diameter.
