The role of malignant disease as a risk factor for cerebrovascular disorders is well established [1]. Vasculitis, tumor embolization, nonbacterial endocarditis, and coagulopathy are most commonly involved. Less commonly, the increased stroke risk may also be due to the vascular toxicity of chemotherapy [2]. A particular association was suggested between cisplatin-based chemotherapy and ischemic stroke in at least 15 patients [3–9]. The underlying mechanisms remain speculative and risk factors have not been clearly identified so far. In a few patients, a close temporal relationship was also reported between cannabis inhalation and stroke [10]. To our best knowledge, stroke following chemotherapy and cannabis inhalation has never been reported before.
