Univariate analysis showed that NAFLD with a high FIB-4 index was significantly associated with the presence of CRA; however, no significant association between these values was identified in the multivariate analysis. We appreciate the authors for their interest in our recent publication on low serum pancreatic amylase levels as a novel latent risk factor for colorectal adenoma in non-alcohol drinkers. 1 The severity and duration of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) may be an important factor in the association between NAFLD and colorectal adenoma (CRA). Therefore, we evaluated the association between CRA and advanced NAFLD with a high fibrosis-4 (FIB-4) index in the participants of this study (Table 1).[Extracted from the article]
