We examine the effect of single-sex schooling on students in Seoul who were randomly assigned their school districts. Contrary to popular belief sex schooling does not reduce the gender gap in characteristics. students' competitiveness by studying middle school to either single-sex or coeducational schools within and existing studies, our results suggest that single-competitiveness conditional on student and parental (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V.
