The main types,advantages and disadvantages of soil opener and seed-metering device,the key parts of a seeder,were analyzed in this study.Meanwhile,a duckbill-roller peanut seeder was designed and the simulation and analysis on trajectory of the duck bill,seed-metering device and compression clip were performed.Finally,the next steps for improvement were proposed based on the efficacy of the peanut seeder through seeding test.
