Heading one of the largest Parasitology Departments in the world, the task becomes more demanding when one needs to sustain the incredible leadership previously provided by the past heads of this department who have generated a seamless work culture and created an incredible cohesive team. Departments from an academic environment all over the world have possibly two or three core functions which will include teaching, research and in the case of our department, diagnosis which will constitute the Business As Usual (BAU) activities.
