Background. Frequently returned to, classical optical methods of the interferometry type have been successfully applied to the analysis of cracking [I-5]. In principal, along with the absence of contact with the specimen, there are two important advantages which give these techniques high performance. These are their good spatial resolution and high sensitivity in the measure of fields of displacement. The two quantities are intrinsically linked to the optical wavelength and in the order of 0.5 J.
