In addition, loss of nuclear expression of friend leukemia integration 1 transcription factor (Fli-1), an antifibrotic factor, known to be downmodulated in scleroderma lesions, 2 was observed in the epidermal keratinocytes and dermal fibroblasts in the LM lesion; this may explain the mechanisms for following Blaschko's line. Linear morphea (LM), also known as linear scleroderma, is a variant of morphea (localized scleroderma) in which sclerotic skin lesions follow Blaschko's line. 1 Here we report a case of LM with anti-single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) antibody (Ab), which occurred during her pregnancy. The patient developed LM during her pregnancy and showed a positive result for anti-ssDNA Ab.[Extracted from the article]Copyright of International Journal of Dermatology is the property of Wiley-Blackwell and its content may not be copied or emailed to multiple sites or posted to a listserv without the copyright holder's express written permission.
