The article presents a case study of a 59 year old proband with right limb weakness and alalia, a condition in which the vocal cords are paralyzed that results to inability to speak. The patient was diagnosed with familial cerebral cavernous malfunction (FCCM). A surgical removal of the hemangioma of the left basal ganglia was performed after seventeen days of medical treatment. The article also discusses a typical case of FCCM in a Chinese family.
