Fifty-two cases of Infantile muscular atrophy observed over an 11-year period was reviewed. The variability in clinical and pathological severity has been stressed, and the nature of the pathology described. The differential diagnosis is considered, and the usefulness of the usual clinical laboratory procedures and muscle biopsy in diagnosis was expounded. Treatment and eugenics were briefly discussed.
