This paper presents a model that generates natural hand-arm movements. A simple command, specified in terms of successive target end-points is translated through the control model into a complete movement trajectory. This high-level command provides an easy way to describe and manipulate sequences of gestures. Moreover, by its nature, the command tends to a symbolic gesture specification that can be extended to obtain a qualitative description of gestures.
