Multi-nuclear dendritic Ru-complexes were used as a core molecules in the "core-first" synthesis of star-shaped polynorbornene. The activity and selectivity of the dendritic catalytic systems have been evaluated. In addition the influence of the dendritic catalyst on the molar mass and molar mass distributions of the starpolymers has been studied. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
