The breakpoints are variable and the genetic heterogeneity may explain the lack of a distinct clinical syndrome.1 In the present study paper we report on a patient with pure distal 14q trisomy due to a maternal derivative chromosome 14 and discuss the clinical features associated with the occurence of this abnormal chromosome.
