We designed and tested equipment to wash plugs following cell lysis in pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE). Our system can wash 30 plugs simultaneously in 1 h using 15 L of Tris-EDTA buffer, which makes plug washing for PFGE less labor-intensive. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
