A study on lirnmological condition and maRageraeRt status ofiAland water fishery reseives in CeRtral Kalimafitan was coRducted in l995, l996 and l997. The aim ofthe study was to elucidate the differences of general limnological coRditiofi and management status of inland water fishery reserves, Limnoiogical conditioR evaluated primarily based on water quality data, such as pH, dissolved exygen, conductivity, oxidative reductive potentials and others. Comparison ofthe management status between fishery reserves evaluated by special criteria developed fbr that purpose. The study was conducted in nine fishery reserves iocated ifi habitat types, i.e,, Lakes Lutan, Botong-Dulan, Laplrriping, Kajang, Rufigun, Lagon (all Oxbow Lake Type I), Lake Rengas, Lake Limus (both Oxbow Lake Type II) aRd the GulfofTelaga Bintang in the littoral zone ofLake Sembuluh, The results show that all fishery reserves are located in the blackwater inlaRd water environment, The lowest pH average (4.21-4.82) observed iR the Oxbow Lake Type II and littoral zone oflowland lake, The lowest conductivity value (O.O08 mSlcm) was also observed in this habitat type but higher turbidity (97-368 INTU) was observed in Oxbow Lake Type I. Oxydative Reductive Poteittials vaiues show a reducing condition with variable dissolved oxygen level in tirr}e and place. The fish species in some of the 'fishery reserves dominated by the member ofthe family Cyprinidae. in tends higher than the turbidity in Lake Rengas.
