Let X be a smooth connected projective algebraic curve over ℂ of genus g > 1, G a semisimple algebraic group over ℂ, g its Lie algebra. Denote by Bun G the moduli stack of G-bundles on X. It is a smooth algebraic stack of dimension N := (g — 1) · dim G. We are going to construct some D-modules on Bun G and discuss their relation to Langlands program. We would like to mention that the idea of the construction was independently found by E.Witten but as far as we know he did not publish anything on this subject.
