SiR, — Spongifbrm leucoencephalopathy is a neurological complication of heroin addiction. 47 cases have been reported from the Netherlands1 and 1 from Germany; 2 the cause was thought to be an unknown toxin factor. There have not been any other such patients recorded since 1983. We report two Spanish patients with this condition after inhalation of heroin.
