Cobalt-rare earth intermetallic compounds produced by calcium hydride reduction of oxides

[en] Kinetics of the reduction--diffusion reactions between CaH 2 and rare earth oxides mixed with Co powder are described. Results show that the overall process yield is dependent on the stoichiometric excess of CaH 2. It is noted that the coarser particles produced by spontaneous disintegration of the reacted cake contain Ca.(US)
