An account is given of the type-specimens (holotypes, lectotypes, neotypes, paratypes, paralectotypes, syntypes) of the Diptera family Anthomyiidae in the Museum fur Naturkunde of the Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin, Germany. Detailed information is given on the specimens, their labelling and their condition, and reference is made to the types of species described by Stein that are located in other museums and institutes. 324 species are enumerated. The species are listed alphabetically, and the account concludes with a systematic nomenclatural summary, a geographic summary, and a bibliography. 3 new combinations are established: Botanophila incrassata (Stein, 1920), n. comb. (G. C. D. Griffiths, pers. comm.), Botanophila trilineata (Stein, 1898), n. comb., and Botanophila trivittata (Stein, 1914), n. comb. Lectotypes are designated for Pegomyia dorsalis Stein, 1915 and Pegomyia ovata Stein, 1915, both from Taiwan. (© 2009 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
