Four methods for Partial Discharge detection in Gas Insulated Substations were considered.Laboratory tests were carried out to determine the efficiency of these methods to detect defects and to discriminate among different defect types.The sensitivity of the methods has been compared and the applicability of the methods in the field has been discussed.
