The applications of the fluorinated surfactants in the oil field,such as drilling,oil production,gathering transportation,are reviewed.These fluorinated surfactants have the excellent properties of high surface activity,unique thermal and chemical stability,water and oil repellency.They are widely used as filtrate reducer,clean up additive in drilling; demulsifier for crude oil,corrosion inhibitor in oil production; thinner for viscous crude oil,pour point depressant and evaporation retardant for crude oil,synergist for fuel oil,tank conservative in gathering transportation; and also bactericide for waste water in oil field.It has economic and social benefits to develop a new kind of oil chemicals containing fluorinated surfactants.23 references are cited.
