The effect of alloying elements (chromium, copper, and aluminum) on the processes of structure formation in cast iron with vermicular graphite is studied. The degree of graphitization of the iron is analyzed as a function of the kind and content of the alloying elements. The mechanical properties of irons alloyed with chromium, copper, and aluminum are determined.
