After anatomy’s grisly grave robbing beginnings blossomed into a glorious golden age, it faces an indignant death at the hands of medical school curriculum reforms. There is no doubt about it, the teaching of anatomy in Australia’s and the world’s medical schools is irrevocably changing. The anatomy teaching that generations of doctors have known has, over the past few decades, eroded as anatomy has been lifted out of its usual prominent position in any MB BS, and then cut, trimmed and squeezed into modern curricula. What do medical students think of changes in the course, and how have these changes affected the day-to-day experiences of an MB BS student?
