When [36C1] O,O-diethyl 0-3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyl-phosphorothioate is fed as a single dose to rats, the radioactivity is eliminated rapidly via the urine (90%) and feces (10%). The products excreted are [36C1] 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyl phosphate (75 to 80%), [36C1] 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridinol (15 to 20%), with traces of O,O-diethyl O-3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyl phosphorothioate. Only the [36C1] O, O[image]diethyl O-3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyl phosphorothioate accumulates in the tissues. This accumulates in the fat and is liberated slowly.
