Source/Description: Blood coagulation F13A cDNA was isolated by antibody screening of a human placenta cDNA library. The clone extends from the nucleotide position 321 to 3761 corresponding to the cDNA reported by Grundman et al.(1). Polymorphism: EcoRI, HindI, PvuII or BamHI digests ofhuman genomic DNA were probed with the F13A cDNA by Southern blot analysis. The polymorphic bands are indicated by arrow heads as shown in figure.Frequency: Genomic DNA from 18 normal individuals was analysed. EcoRI: 30kb (0.50), 18kb (0.17), 16kb (0.33), 15kb (0.31), 12 kb (0.39). HindIf: 5.0 kb (0.28), 5.2 kb (0.29), 4.0 kb (0.64), 3.8 kb (0.21). PvuII: 10.5 kb (0.44), 8.0 kb (0.33), 7.5 kb (0.22), 6.5 kb (0.50), 6.0 kb (0.66). BamHI: 5.9 kb (0.61), 3.0 kb (0.50).
