This paper presents the latest results on a fast mixing combustion process on a single cylinder research engine, and also the results of multicylinder engine with such combustion system. The performance data obtained for the multicylinder engine are excellent and quite comparable to those for the single cylinder engine under similar hardware configurations. This demonstrates the usefulness of multicylinder engine performance with single cylinder engine.
