Lanthanide metal–organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs) have attracted increasing attention as an emerging type of porous materials in the last decades due to their high porosities, adjustable pore sizes/sharps, ready functionalization, as well as high thermal/chemical stability. In this chapter, we seek to not only provide a comprehensive review focusing on porous Ln-MOF materials for a wide range of applications in gas storage and separation, such as H2storage, selective CO2capture and separation, and H2and CH4purification, but also highlight some strategies as a means of effectively enhancing their gas storage capacities and selectivities.
