The information about moose number in western areas of KHMAO-Ugra for last decade is revealed. The important role of ООPT (restricted areas) in preservation and reproduction of resources of the moose is noticed. Special attention is given to the estimation of the modern condition of the hunting grounds of the district, the reasons of its critical condition are specified.
