A study was performed on light-emitting diodes on blends of two polyfluorene copolymers with the host poly (9, 9-dioctylfluorene), PFO. They exhibited a significantly higher efficiency in comparison to the devices fabricated with the neat copolymers. This improvement was mainly attributed to a combination of efficient energy transfer and spatial exciton confinement within the guest copolymer chains.
