Th e Archaeopark is placed at the centre of the originally suburban village of Liboc that has preserved its former picturesque countryside character. It was founded by Archaia, a civic association in 1994, primarily with the support of the Prague 6 council, also the Prague Capitol council, the Czech Ministry of Culture and other institutions. Archaia was founded in 1991 and its mission, aside from the protection, preservation and documentation of archaeological and other historical monuments, is to Fig. 3 Artist’s impression of the concept of the Archaeopark (drawing M.
