Studied the prevalence of symptoms suggestive of cerebral ischemia (CI) in 16 Ss who met the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-III) criteria for agoraphobia with panic, 26 Ss with generalized anxiety disorder, and 42 age-and sex-matched normal controls. It was found that the agoraphobia and anxiety groups had a significantly higher prevalence of CI symptoms except loss of vision, and most symptoms differed from classical transient ischemia attacks in several ways.(PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2022 APA, all rights reserved)
