Data from eyes having 20/20 or better best corrected visual acuity are compared across age for several measures or indices of foveal visual sensitivity. These measures and indices include blue cone sensitivity, sensitivity at absolute threshold to a long-wavelength test, color match area effect, and time constant of rate of recovery during dark adaptation.
