Bush pigs of Kibale Forest, Uganda, exhibit at least 4 pelage color morphs. Two predominant morphs resemble the western subspecies, P. p. porcus, and the eastern/southern subspecies, P. p. koiropotamus. Kibale Forest may be a zone of secondary contact between subspecies. Alternatively, the Kibale population could be intermediate between clinal extremes. Group size ranged from 1-11 pigs with a mean of 3.2. Of the bush pigs sighted, 1/3 were immature. Observations were also made on activity and food habits.
