Because of the absorb and dispersion of atmosphere, there exist errors between the measured and true target values. It becomes serious impediments for the quantitative analysis and resources and environment measurements.An operational method of correcting visible and near-infrared data for atmospheric effects is presented. The method, which is based on FLAASH(Fast line-of-fight atmospheric analysis of spectral hypercubes),is used to atmospheric correction of ASTER visible and near-infrared bands. Sensitivity analysis is conducted by comparing corrected and uncorrected reflectance data including spectral brightness and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI).The research indicates that the precision will be improved if NDVI is adopted,which is counted through the image of atmosphere correction.
