ClO ― 4 ―poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)TiO 2 /fluorine-doped tin oxide (ClO ― 4 ―PEDOT/TiO 2 /FrO) conduction glass counter electrode (CE) is fabricated in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) by using a facile electrochemical deposition method. Compared to the ClO ― 4 ―PEDOT/FTO CE, the photocurrent―voltage measurement reveals that the photocurrent conversion efficiency (η), fill factor, and short-circuit current density (J SC ) of DSSCs with a ClO ― 4 ―PEDOT/TiO 2 /FTO CE increase. Electrochemical impedance spectra indicate that the charge-transfer resistance on the ClO ― 4 ―PEDOT/electrolyte interface decreases. Cyclic voltammetry results also indicate that the ClO ― 4 ―PEDOT/TiO 2 /FrO electrode shows a higher activity toward I ― 3 /I ― redox reaction than that of the ClO ― 4 ―PEDOT/FTO electrode.
