对1例血色素沉着症患者和1例输血铁质沉着症患者的血清铁蛋白与组织异铁蛋白的铁含量、异铁蛋白光谱和免疫学性质进行了比较。这两种血清铁蛋白的铁含量都很低，只对应于肝脏中最基本的异铁蛋白。血清铁蛋白与来自肝脏的天然载脂蛋白在各方面都非常相似。
Serum ferritins from a patient with hemochromatosis and from a patient with transfusional siderosis were compared with tissue isoferritins on the basis of their Fe content, isoferritin spectrum and immunological properties. Both serum ferritins had a low Fe content and corresponded to only the most basic isoferritins in liver. The serum ferritins were very similar to the natural apoferritin from liver in all respects.
