I made it! There were moments when I thought I wouldn't. I'm really happy. I have wanted to be a teacher for so long. It was difficult getting into the program. I'm glad I did it, but I'm also worried about what's going to happen in the future. If I get a job, will it be in a school where I can feel comfortable? A lot seems to depend on the principal. Some of them are terrific and others seem pretty useless. Staffs are the same. Some are so negative. I'm scared of being the only new teacher. I'm also worried about my family. Will I have any time for them? Everything is changing so quickly. I don't know if I can keep up. The students are a big concern, too. Many of them are not getting the kind of help they require at school. They come with so many problems. The way things are structured in schools now, it's difficult for one teacher to do it all. I think teaching is an important job. But, many of my friends can't understand why I chose teaching. The public is really down on teachers right now. It's difficult. The truth is I want to make a difference with my life. I still think I can do that through teaching. Some of my teachers did it for me. I just hope I'm right.
