A uthor Man uscript epidemiology, a debate on the topic “RCT are the only appropriate way to demonstrate the role of vitamin D in human health”, as well as 174 poster presentations. Delegates who presented at the Workshop were invited to submit manuscripts for peer reviewed publication in this special edition of the Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Each manuscript was peer reviewed according to Journal standards. Guest editors were Dr. White, along with Dr. Martin Hewison (University of Birmingham, UK) and Dr. James Fleet (Purdue University, IN). Topical summaries of all oral sessions and the debate are presented below.
