PATIENTS with homonymous hemianopia were examined at intervals over three years to analyse their capacity for adjustment to the visual field defect. Visual field studies were recorded in Part I, where the examination of five representative patients was also described. A third section will deal with the patients' insight and attitude to the visual field defect, the completion phenomenon, and the overall visual functional efficiency.
