カイコ幼虫の発育に伴う体細胞突然変異に対する放射線線感受性の変動を明らかにするために次の実験を行なった.(日 124 号× P s)× 大造から分離した正常蚕とヘテロ黒縞蚕とを用いて卵末期から第 3 齢または第 4 齢までの各時期の個体に, γ 線 (60 Co) 1000R を急照射 (20 分間照射) または緩照射 (72 時間照射) して, 正常蚕およびヘテロ黒縞蚕からそれぞれ劣性形質の斑点として出現する油蚕斑および白斑の出現頻度を求めた.
